Check out a great new short film just released – "A Simple Day" A day at the Simple Session 12 with Darryl Nau and Sergio Layos. Video by Philip Kölsch.
"The 12th Simple Session took place in Tallinn in the first weekend of April and as always it was an amazing contest. This time I thought about making a video that's a bit different and shows how a rider and an announcer experience a day at the, as many people say, best contest. I was lucky enough to follow one of Spain's finest, Sergio Layos and the living bmx legend, Darryl Nau on the day of the finals, a day full great bmx riding, meeting people, party, fun and overall good times!"

Simple Session 12 LIVE webcast made history again, becoming the most popular action sports webcast out there with nearly one million unique viewers during the two days of the event!
In 2011, 148,758 unique viewers tuned in to watch Simple Session LIVE, adding up to over 500,000 with replays and additional clips. In 2012, the event attracted a massive 147% more viewers, reaching out to 367,996 unique viewers. With replays and additional clips, Simple Session 12 reached 944,008 unique viewers within two days of the event on all sites that use the Freecaster player. As a lot of people are watching the LIVE stream together with their friends and family, the real number is even much higher.
According to Freecaster.tv founder Raymond Dulieu, Simple Session is now not only the most watched webcast on Freecaster.tv, but "hands down the most popular online webcast for action sports worldwide".
"I consider a unique viewer to be as valuable as a person attending an event on-site as the internet viewer is not a passive spectator. How many action sports can claim to reach almost 400 thousand fans? To my experience none. Not the X-Games, not the Dew Tour. Simple Session 12 attracted a larger audience than the MTB World Championships and the Race of Champions, two flagship events on Freecaster. Simple Session is very popular with pro riders and anyone who watched the event can only admire the progression of the skate and mainly BMX tricks. Another unique fact is that 60% of the Simple Session viewers are using an Apple computer." said Dulieu.
TOP 10 countries, who submitted to breaking the record were UK, Estonia, USA, Japan, Russia, Germany, France, Finland, Canada and Poland.
Europe’s leading sports television channel Eurosport 2 will be broadcasting two half-hour shows dedicated to Simple Session 12 in the beginning of May, one covering the skateboarding and the other the BMX finals. The shows are produced by Simple Session and will, aside from the highlight moments of the event, feature talks, reports from side events and much more. Simple Session 12 was also covered by Fuel TV and ESPN. Simple Session 12 webcast, powered by Freecaster.tv was webcast LIVE on Simple Session webpage and Extreme.com.
Simple Session 12 was presented by Nestle Lion. The contest crew sends out a big thank-you to Simple Session devoted sponsors Red Bull, Vans, Swedbank, Evian, Quiksilver, Sportland, Subrosa, Shadow Conspiracy, Quintin, Rite, Gopro, Vapiano and Tallinn city.
